What would you do if you had more energy?
We’ve all wasted a weekend because we’re exhausted. We’ve all struggled to enjoy an experience because all we can think about is our bed. We’ve all cancelled plans because we are just too burnt out to do anything.
Sleep. It’s one of the few things in life that are free, but it’s surprisingly hard to get enough of it. Luckily, Benenox have come to the rescue. They’ve developed their Overnight Recharge, packed full of natural ingredients, to help you get a more restful night’s sleep and wake up feeling fully recharged. It’s less than a tenner and proven to reduce tiredness and fatigue and help you feel ready to take on the day ahead.
I’ve been taking Benenox every night for a few months now before bedtime to help me drift off and get a better night sleep, as well as feel more alert in the mornings. So, to prove what a difference Benenox can make, I was challenged me to choose something from my bucket list to complete once I was filled with energy from a great night’s sleep. I chose to fly a plane. Because, when else would I ever get the opportunity?
Refreshed after a great night's sleep thanks to Benenox, I headed to the Mid Anglia School of Flying at Cambridge Airport for my first ever time in a private plane. I was greeted by my instructor, a retired pilot who had flown commercial airlines and private jets around the world, and before I knew it, I had my headphones and hi-vis jacket on and we were heading to the airfield.
When I read the description of the Virgin Experiences website for the Extended Flying Lesson, I wasn’t expecting to actually be involved in take off and landing. However, my instructor taught me how to steer the plane to the take off point with my feet, line up on the runway and push the throttle forward to take off all by myself - I was glad that I was feeling alert rather than exhausted!
Within a minute, we were at altitude and ready to start flying over the beautiful city of Cambridge. I learnt how to turn the plane, tilt the plane forwards and backwards and adjust the throttle to go quicker or slower. My instructor was so calm and patient and it was such an incredible feeling to feel the power of the plane beneath you, completely under your control.
Almost before I knew it, I was turning the plane around to get ready to land. We lined up with the runway lights, announced our imminent landing and heading towards the ground. With a surprisingly small bump, I landed back to earth, feeling exhilarated from my experience! It was one of the best things I've ever done and I'm itching to get back into the pilot's seat and try it all again. Next stop, pilot's license?
